Todd Charnetski is a running coach and recovery specialist with a 34-year proven track record of success working closely with thousands of runners, athletes, and patients in both the fitness and medical community helping them train and recover smarter and faster.
“I recognize that we are an impatient society. We don’t like to follow the rules. Progressing as a runner is a journey and we want to speed up the process oftentimes leading to an unhappy performance or outcome. As a runner, when you get injured, it is devastating and frustrating. Right? A part of your being is taken away from you. You want your normal life back and fast. I understand and have been there and my SMART Approach is about training the right way so you stay on the road, stay consistent and get optimal training and racing results”.
Over my 35 years of running, I have worked through many injuries. Why did I get injured? The fact is, I didn’t always train SMART. I also didn’t always recover SMART. I ran too fast too often, progressed too hard in my training plan, kept pushing through soreness, did not fuel properly, ran in the wrong shoes, iced too often, and did not allow my body to recover after hard workouts or races… sound familiar?
There had to be answers. I did a lot of testing including on myself. I even hired a coach who helped me groom who I am today. SMART works better than I ever could have imagined. My mission now is to help runners train smarter and overcome their aches and become stronger both mentally and physically maximizing running performance. This is why I created a solution… an easy-to-implement system or approach that looks at you as a whole and structures the approach and training plan around your current state of fitness and your goals ahead.
